Assicurazioni Generali SpA said late Friday that it holds 84.5% of the share capital of Societa Cattolica di Assicurazione SpA.
The Italian insurer is in the process of taking over its smaller rival with a bid of 6.75 euros ($7.80) for each share in Cattolica. The offer launched in May.
