Bogotá D.C., March 28, 2016. Transportadora de Gas Internacional TGI, Company belonging to Grupo de Energía of Bogota reported a positive balance of 14 billion pesos investment in different social sustainability programs during the last five years.

Investment development programs, environmental management, security and labor health, risk management, climate change management, among others are achievements and executions developed in recent years, which reveal practices focused on creating value with sustainability.

TGI invested in the social front during 2016 more than 1.7 billion pesos. The Development Management Program amounts for 9.5 billion pesos in the last five years, including different social and economic development agreements, that additionally to promote the improvement in life quality, created jobs and inclusion for the communities and families living in their operation influence zones around 10 Colombian departments that include: Boyacá, Santander, Guajira, Antioquia, Casanare, Cesar, Cundinamarca, Meta, Tolima y Huila. These projects have benefited more than 4,000 people.

Regarding Environmental Management, TGI keeps its infrastructure in harmony with the environment aiming to mitigate environmental impacts coming from their operations. That's why, through environmental trade-offs, the company invested in the last five years 4.3 billion pesos in five departments of their influence zones such as Boyacá, Tolima, Cundinamarca, Meta and Casanare. In those departments stands out reforestation projects with native species, support to the climate change management plan in the Orinoquia, and the management program for preserved species including products such as promotional catalogues, school nursery gardens and environmental education. For 2017, the plan is to continue to contribute through land purchase projects in order to make a passive recovery of strategical environmental areas for conservation and water management (aqueducts and moors) and predial sanitation of protected areas.

At the same time, and as part of their Global Responsibility commitment consistent with the environment, TGI reported 2016 as the best performance year since the company began measuring greenhouse gas emissions in 2013. The reported emissions for 2016 was of 107,673 tons of CO2 equivalent (TCO2e) compared with the 184,744 TCO2e reported in 2015, which accounts for 42% reduction.

Other issues that stand out and that aim to complement the company's achievements in sustainability, are related with accomplishments in security and labor health. In 2016, TGI improved the 65% severity index compared with 2015, which reached 6.62% and was the best performance since 2011.

In the same way, regarding security they continue to maintain 0 fatalities, both in TGI's direct personnel and contractors, apart from developing more than 500 hours in specialized training in operation critical activities.
