Habib Sugar Mills Limited Reports Earnings Results for the Second Quarter and Six Months Ended March 31, 2023

Habib Sugar Mills Limited is engaged in the manufacturing and marketing of refined sugar, molasses, ethanol, liquefied carbon dioxide (CO2) and household textiles. It is also engaged in providing bulk storage facilities and trading of commodities. It operates through four segments: Sugar Division, Distillery Division, Textile Division and Trading Division. The Sugar Division has a crushing capacity of 11,000 metric tons of sugarcane per day. The Distillery Division has a capacity of producing 142,500 liters of industrial alcohol per day. The Textile Division is engaged in manufacture of terry towels and bath robes with annual capacity of 560,000 kilograms of value-added finished products. The Trading Division facilitates the import/export of various commodities, such as sugar and molasses. The Bulk Storage terminal is part of the distillery division and provides bulk storage facilities for molasses, industrial alcohol, and edible oils at karachi port for import / export purposes.
