Hammerson, owner, operator, and developer of prime urban real estate in some of the fastest growing cities in the UK, Ireland and France continues to expand its offer.

The series of new openings and signings further supports Hammerson's strategy to enliven and reinvigorate its portfolio of city centre assets by introducing new brands, concepts and market firsts to drive customer engagement, attract new visitors and diversify revenue streams.

The exciting and innovative new openings include an experiential led global sports brand, a digitally native, celebrity skincare pop up, and an art gallery, making art more accessible to visitors.

Bullring - Birmingham

  • Nike Birmingham. This summer, the world's largest sportswear brand will open its first 'Nike Rise' concept outside of London. The store will include data-driven design features, a 'huddle' allowing customers to sign up for events, group runs and in-store workouts and a section where nutrition and hydration products can be purchased. This follows hot on the heels of the first ever 'Nike Live' opening in Ireland earlier this year at Hammerson's Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin.
  • Trinny London. Trinny London, the eponymous beauty brand by makeover expert and entrepreneur Trinny Woodall has opened its first ever retail space in Birmingham at Bullring. 'Trinny London' has launched with a new style of concession kiosk where customers can drop in for an appointment with make-up artists and get beauty tips for the best skincare and make-up routines.

Brent Cross - London (owned by abrdn and Hammerson)

  • Reserved. Central Europe's largest fashion retailer has selected Brent Cross as part of its big expansion in London, testament to the destination's quality and customer base. Reserved, owned by LPP, has grown in prominence since entering the UK market in 2017 and will offer its latest collection of men's, women's and childrenswear and accessories, as it strengthens its brand position in Western Europe.
  • Miele. A first within Hammerson's portfolio, German manufacturer, Miele, renowned for its range of premium and sustainable home appliances, will open a dedicated store at Brent Cross this September. Customers will get the opportunity to fully experience the brand's latest state-of-the-art home technology via compelling demonstrations, while there will also be live cooking demonstrations during the opening week.

The Oracle - Reading

  • Hypha Studios x The Oracle. Hammerson is collaborating with Hypha Studios, who bring artists and culture to our high streets to create three art and culture exhibitions, to the heart of Reading. From September, contemporary creatives from across the country will curate exhibitions and community events to engage and inspire visitors. The programme kicks off with 'Seeds', where 14 artists will explore the relationship between humanity and nature through ceramics, illustrations, paintings, photography and sculpture. Unique to the concept will be a series of workshops and events for all ages throughout the exhibition.

Paul O'Brien, Director of Leasing and Commercialisation at Hammerson, commented: "Our strategic focus to create best-in-class destinations and customer experiences is evident with the ongoing introduction of key brands and occupiers. Nike, Trinny London, Reserved, Miele and Hypha Studios demonstrate how we are thinking creatively about, and investing in, spaces that work for the brand and the visitor. From reconfiguring and repurposing our space to reimagining the overall experience, our focus is and will remain on attracting and engaging our visitors in new, smart and memorable ways.
