HKScan has today, on 7 March 2024, been informed that the EU Commission has approved the arrangement announced in December 2023 whereby HKScan will sell its business in Sweden. In February 2024, the approval of the Swedish authorities for foreign direct investment (FDI) was received and HKScan's Extraordinary General Meeting approved the arrangement.

HKScan and Lantmännen ek för, the acquirer of the business, intend to close the transaction during March 2024.

On 29 December 2023, HKScan announced that it had signed an agreement to sell its Swedish business to Swedish Lantmännen (Stock Exchange release 29 Dec 2023: Inside information: HKScan to sell its Swedish business to Lantmännen - HKScan).

With the transaction, HKScan's ownership of its Swedish business will end. The business and personnel of HKScan's Swedish subsidiaries will be transferred to the new owner at the closing of the transaction.
