Huvis (CEO Shin, You Dong, 079980), specializing in chemical and fiber materials, announced on the 17th that it will hold the R&D Solution Fair 2022 where it will unveil the company's new technologies and products and give insights into customer needs and market trends.
Marking its third time being held since its initial launch in 2020, the fair will consist of access to the HUVIS R&D Center or visits to customer sites. Under the philosophy of "The Future of Materials Still Lies in the Market," the event will provide an opportunity for the company and its customers to come together and share information on the company's R&D activities and new products that are in the pipeline as well as to discuss how to improve quality and address customers' technological challenges.
The theme of the fair is the 'Fusion of Materials, Smart & Sustainability.' The event is also part of HUVIS' strategy to fuse and converge its proprietary highly functional and differentiated materials with those for safety, health, and environment products to penetrate new markets with the creation and diversification of new materials.
The company expects that the event will provide an opportunity to hear the voices of the customers concerning materials needed to help reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) of electric vehicles as well as next generation smart materials and pro-environmental materials that can help achieve 2050 carbon neutralization, with a view to offering tailored experiences for customers through focused R&D activities.
The last two fairs empowered the company to develop fiber for COVID-19 masks and become the first in Korea to commercialize bio-degradable PET fiber, branded as ECOEN, which is capable of bio-degrading in three years after being buried, in an effort to help address environmental problems.
In addition, to contribute better recycling of waste plastics, production from recycled waste material to textiles, the company has built and operates a facility capable of batch production. The company also works to take into account customer needs into its R&D efforts as demonstrated with the launch of cool-feeling fiber for bedding to meet the high demand in summer.
"Even the most innovative material or technology can fail if there is no market for it," says Park Seong-yon, Director of R&D Center of HUVIS. "Our focus is to take customer feedback into full account during our R&D efforts to maintain our technology leadership in the industry." (The end)
