Huvis (CEO Shin, You Dong, 079980), which specializes in chemical materials, announced on the 17th that it had made a cash donation to help provide better living conditions for people in need amid the last cold snap. The donation, which was delivered to the community center and the resident council in Palbok-dong, Jeonju, will be used to replace outdated wallpaper and floor paper and provide better living conditions for those in need in the community.
The donation, as with the donation of bedding made on March 3, is part of the Greater Hope Initiative, Huvis' social responsibility campaign. The idea behind the donation is that those in financial need would require even greater care and assistance amid the prolonged and devastating COVID-19 pandemic.
"At the turn of the season, we hope that our donation will help provide better living conditions for those in need residing near our plant," says Goh Seong-wook, Director of Huvis Jeonju Plant. "Huvis will continue to fulfill its social responsibility to help make the community a better place."
Other initiatives carried out under the company's commitment to social contribution and ESG management include offering free meals during school breaks, donating uniforms, and delivering briquettes.
