IDOX plc announced the appointment of David Meaden as its new Chief Executive, subject to completion of the customary regulatory procedures. David will join Idox on 1 June 2018. This is a significant appointment for the Group following the uncertainty over the Group's leadership in the last six months.

David enjoyed a 22 year career, including 12 years as Chief Executive, with Northgate Public Services (NPS). David has substantial experience of working with the UK Public Sector and during his tenure with Northgate Public Services, grew the business four fold to become a leading provider to Local Government, Police, Healthcare and Central Government agencies, employing around 2,300 staff across 8 UK locations and a development centre in India. David has significant experience of business transformation, software development, outsourcing and M&A successfully integrating nine acquisitions during his time at the helm.

He spent his early career in product management and sales at Burroughs and Group Bull and has a degree in Business Studies from the University of Huddersfield. Richard Kellett-Clarke, who has been acting as Chief Executive on an interim basis since December 2017 will hand over responsibilities to David Meaden on 1 June and revert to his previous role as a non-executive director at that time.
