MISSISSAUGA, Ontario (AP) — MISSISSAUGA, Ontario (AP) — Imax Corp. (IMAX) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter net income of $2.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Mississauga, Ontario-based company said it had net income of 5 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and restructuring costs, came to 17 cents per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 10 cents per share.

The entertainment technology company posted revenue of $86 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $89.5 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $25.3 million, or 46 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $374.8 million.
