Intevac, Inc. announced that Norman H. Pond, Founder and Chairman of the board, has informed the company that he is retiring as Chairman and as a member of the Board of Directors, effective August 16, 2017. Mr. Pond has served as Chairman of the Board since company’s founding in 1991, and as Chief Executive Officer from 1991 until 2000, September 2001 until January 2002, and November 2012 until July 2013. David S. Dury will succeed Mr. Pond as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Dury is the former chief financial officer of Aspect Development and co-founder of Mentor Capital Group, and joined the Company's Board of Directors in 2002.

Its products include 200 Lean Disk Sputtering System, TRIO, and upgrades, spares, consumables and services (non-systems business).
