Ivisys AB announced that it has expanded its product line, by adding a new inspection station to the company’s product line. The new IVISYS Fastener Inspection Station is an inspection station, which is capable of inspecting complex fasteners ensuring that no defect parts enter the assembly process. Avoiding defects in fasteners for industrial use is of key importance to sub -suppliers to manufacturers. However, due to the complex composition of many fasteners, quality inspections of such objects is to a large extent conducted annually. During June 2016, the company has expanded its product line with the IVISYS Fastener Inspection Station, enabling suppliers to feed assembly lines with objects without any defects. The inspection station is equipped with multiple inspection points with separate cameras making it possible to tailor inspections according to the various objects’ specifications. The IVISYS Fastener Inspection Station verifies the objects’ key dimensions as well as presence of threads. Moreover, the system is able to detect foreign objects, such as chips or scrap, even within partially enclosed drilled holes. The outcome is defect rates with very low PPM levels, enabling manufactures to comply with their objective of zero-defects production. The system comes with a bin tipper and a fully automated positioning of the objects prior to inspection. After passing through the inspection station objects meeting the quality criteria are seamlessly fed to an assembly line or packed for delivery, failed objects are discarded.
