Kangda International Environmental : Party Secretary Ge Qiaohong Investigates Jiaozuo Branch of Chongqing Kangda EP

On the morning of July 22, Ge Qiaohong, secretary of the Jiaozuo Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and first secretary of the Party Committee of the Jiaozuo Military Division, led the main responsible persons in charge of the city's environmental protection, urban management, housing and construction, demonstration areas and other departments to go deep into Chongqing Kangda Environmental Protection Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. (Chongqing Kangda EP) Jiaozuo Branch for investigation, accompanied by municipal leaders Yan Xiaoxing, Wang Chaojie and Zong Jiazhen.

Secretary Ge and delegates carefully listened to the work report of Yuan Jianguang, general manager of the Jiaozuo Branch, on the progress of the water plant's service scope, operation scale, production process, water quality compliance, sludge disposal, photovoltaic power generation and expansion project of Wanfang Plant, and remotely checked the operation of each processing unit combined with real-time monitoring video. Secretary Ge fully affirmed the work of Chongqing Kangda EP Jiaozuo Branch in sewage treatment operation and management. She pointed out that sewage treatment is a public support project and an ecological project that is related to people's life and environmental protection. Sewage treatment should be taken as an effective channel to ensure and improve people's livelihood, improve the quality of urban functions, and promote high-quality development, so as to further improve sewage treatment capacity and level, and comprehensively improve the water ecological environment in Jiaozuo.

When talking about the expansion project of Wanfang Plant, Secretary Ge emphasized that it is necessary to intensify the construction of urban supporting pipe networks, speed up the upgrading and renovation process of sewage treatment plants, expand the scope of sewage treatment, and ensure that domestic and production sewage should be drained and disposed of as much as possible. It is necessary to give full play to the government's service functions, make every effort to break through the "middle obstruction", relieve difficulties for enterprises, and timely solve the difficulties encountered during the promotion of projects.

Secretary Ge fully affirmed Kangda's efforts to protect the water ecology while taking into account the "green and low-carbon transformation strategy" proposed by the provincial Party committee. She urged leaders of the Jiaozuo Branch to further strengthen management and make greater contributions to "adhering to green development, improving pollution control capabilities, fighting pollution prevention and controlling it with high standards", and better improving the urban water environment.
