Stig Wærnes has been appointed interim CEO ofKMC Properties . Wærnes succeedsLiv Malvik , who has informed the board of her decision to leave the company. The appointment will be effective from1 June 2024 at the latest. Starting from today, Wærnes will work closely with Malvik in the transition period. The board of directors will immediately start the process to find a new CEO. Wærnes is currently the chair of the board in BEWI Invest, the largest shareholder ofKMC Properties . He has broad experience from accounting, advisory and board positions, including as regional managing partner and deputy chair of BDO. Wærnes has been actively involved in the company since 2020, through his engagement for BEWI Invest, and served the board ofKMC Properties from 2020 to 2023, including as chair of the audit committee.Liv Malvik has served as CEO ofKMC Properties for 4 years.
