Knick Exploration Inc. announced the commencement of a diamond drill program on its East-West gold property. A minimum of 5,000m of drilling is to be performed. The main goal of the program is to systematically test the resource potential of the West Zone. The West Zone area has delivered historical gold results mostly above 100 meter vertical depth with a 'wild cat' exploration drill pattern. At the time when these historical holes were drilled (1986), sampling was focused predominately on quartz veining and sulfide enriched zones which frequently returned gold however substantial intersections of core with potential gold mineralization were not assayed. Thirty years later, at present, the understanding of such systems has evolved to a point where the company realize that significant gold mineralization was missed. The drill program will cover the West Zone down to 300 meters and along a strike length of 400 meters. Appropriate sampling to cover all present day aspects of the core for its potential gold mineralization will be used, thus improving and extending the known gold systems footprint on the property.
