TOKYO, July 18 (Reuters) - Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said that liquefied natural gas (LNG) is an important energy source, and that it is important for consumers and producers to work together for a stable market, he said in online remarks at an industry conference on Tuesday.

Company executives from South Korea's state run Korea Gas Corp (KOGAS) and JERA, Japan's biggest power generator, also said it was important for the LNG sector to reduce methane emissions in the industry value chain.
