By the end of the year, the reproductive part of the herd at the KSG Agro pig farm will be replenished with 1330 heads of Canadian Genesus pigs. The first delivery of 210 pigs to the farm took place on September 7, 2023, the company's press service reported.

As part of the program to renew the livestock with pigs from the Canadian genetic company Genesus, KSG Agro will replenish the reproductive part of the herd by 1330 heads: 1300 sows and 30 boars by the end of the year. The first delivery of 210 pigs to the holding's pig farm in the Dnipropetrovs'k region took place on September 7, 2023.

Earlier this spring, 330 sows and 10 boars of Canadian Genesus genetics were delivered to the pig farm.

"The genetics of the Canadian company Genesus is rightly considered one of the best in the world, as it allows us to obtain high quality characteristics of pigs and at the same time lower production costs compared to European ones," comments Viktor Nechmilov, chief technologist at the KSG Agro pig farm. - "Therefore, we continue to rejuvenate the pig population and set the task to gradually completely replace pigs of European genetics with Canadian ones. Piglets of Genesus genetics are more hardy, grow quickly and develop well, and sows have good fertility and milk yield. Our goal is to meet the demand for quality pork and offer consumers, including pig farmers, an example of one of the best genetics available in the world."
