KSG Agro has finished harvesting corn on an area of 920 hectares. The average yield amounted to 3 t/ha.
"This year, farmers faced a difficult situation: high humidity of corn, which is a real problem for farmers, because it requires additional costs for drying agricultural crops," says Dmytro Yemelchenko. - Analyzing our harvest, the moisture content turned out 20%. Abnormal humidity and the impossibility of harvesting corn on time due to weather conditions is something that describes this harvesting campaign.
During the corn harvesting campaign, KSG Agro used 4 combines: 2 John Deere and 2 CLAAS Lexion, as well as 12 trucks.
KSG Agro operates under the principle of vertical integration, so the harvested corn will be used in the production of compound feed for the stable operation of the pig complex. The uninterrupted operation of the pig complex enables the agricultural holding to provide an ongoing assistance to the Armed Forces and medical facilities of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Thus, since the beginning of the war, KSG Agro has already donated food products worth more than UAH 10 million. In addition, the holding takes an active part in the program for the production of stew for the needs of the army, which was initiated by the Kryvyi Rih military administration, having provided 40 tons of meat products for free.
