KT&G Sangsang Madang is openly recruiting participants for the "2024 KT&G Sangsang Madang KoCo Challenge (Korea Cosmetics Challenge)" until April 15th, aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in the eco-friendly beauty sector.

This year marks the fourth edition of the competition, themed around "minimalist beauty that reduces environmental and skin stress," targeting skin, hair, body, and makeup products.

Participants are divided into 'Beginner' and 'Challenger' categories for recruitment. Beginners can apply as individuals or teams of up to five people with an eco-friendly beauty business idea, while Challengers target cosmetic responsible sellers within five years of startup, classified as small enterprises by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Application details are available on the KT&G Sangsang Madang website (https://www.sangsangmadang.com).

Sangsang Madang plans to select a total of three teams across the 'Beginners' and 'Challengers' categories, through document and portfolio review, followed by a mentoring camp and a final presentation. The selected teams will be supported with product development and production worth 20 million KRW for each team, in collaboration with KT&G's subsidiary 'COSMOCOS', known for brands such as "Man with Flowers," "Danahan," and "VPROVE" Additionally, promotional marketing benefits, including operating offline promotion booths at a festival held at Sangsang Madang Busan in the second half of the year, will also be provided.

Park Sung-Joon, the manager of KT&G Sangsang Madang Busan, stated, "The KoCo Challenge has contributed to the growth of beauty startups through practical support such as product manufacturing for the winning teams. We look forward to the participation and interest of young entrepreneurs dreaming of beauty startups with innovative ideas."

Meanwhile, KT&G Sangsang Madang is a multi-cultural art space that supports the creative activities of emerging artists and provides the public with a wide range of cultural experiences. Since the opening of "Sangsang Madang Hongdae" in 2007, it operates in five locations including Nonsan, Chuncheon, Daechi, and Busan, contributing to the expansion of cultural and artistic foundations and regional cultural development. Sangsang Madang welcomes approximately 3 million visitors annually, with over 3,000 cultural and artistic programs operated each year.
