Kyushu Financial Group, Inc. (TSE:7180) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase 3,000,000 shares, representing 0.66% of the outstanding shares for ¥1,740 million. The purpose of the program is to enhance capital efficiency and improve shareholder returns. The program will run until June 15, 2018. As of March 31, 2018, the company had 454,514,248 shares outstanding and 8,861,730 shares in treasury.
Kyushu Financial Group Inc is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the provision of financial services such as banking business, leasing business, credit card business, credit guarantee business and financial product transaction business. The Company operates in two business segments. The Banking segment is engaged in the deposit business, lending business, foreign exchange business, securities business, among others.
