L & L Energy, Inc., formerly L&L International Holdings, is engaged in the business of producing, processing and selling coal in the People's Republic of China. The Company's vertically integrated operations include mining, washing, wholesale and distribution. The Company has around five coal mines, two coal washing plants and a coal wholesale and distribution network in the southwest region of China. All of the Company's coal mining operations are located in the Guizhou and Yunnan provinces, which include Luozhou Mine (Guizhou), La Shu Mine (Guizhou), DaPuAn Mine (Yunnan), Wei She Coal Mine (Guizhou) and SuTsong Mine (Yunnan). The Company has a financial interest in the Bowie Mine, a thermal coal mine located in Paonia, Colorado, the United States. The Company, through its coal consolidator and wholesaler Kunming Coal, engages in the consolidation and sales of burning and coking coals, primarily for industrial uses.
