Arnaud Lagardère, Chairman and CEO, today informed the directors of Lagardère SA of his indictment. He is contesting the decision and will lodge an appeal.

This indictment essentially concerns facts relating to personal companies wholly owned by him, and does not involve any Lagardère Group company, according to the Group.

As far as Lagardère SA is concerned, Mr. Arnaud Lagardère's indictment relates solely to facts dating from 2018 and 2019, qualified as vote buying, abuse of power and dissemination of false or misleading information, facts which he firmly disputes.

As part of his indictment, a provisional management ban has been imposed on Arnaud Lagardère, a measure he is contesting and against which he will appeal, but which nevertheless obliges him to resign from his executive mandates within the Group.

The directors will meet in the very near future to take all the provisional measures required to draw the necessary conclusions and ensure the good governance of the Group until Arnaud Lagardère is able to take over the effective management of the Group', says the group.
