Leopalace21 Corporation has announced that it concluded an agreement with Obayashi Corporation so that the Company should make its apartment rooms available for the use by Obayashi as a reinforcement of the business continuity plan in the event of a disaster. Numerous natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons have hit various parts of Japan in recent years and securing rooms for a restoration team to stay in around the affected areas has become a major issue in the restoration activities. The collaboration between the Company, which provides the rental housing throughout Japan, and Obayashi, which has been engaged in restoration activities in the affected areas in the event of a disaster, formed a structure to strengthen the BCP response abilities.

Company's Role in the Agreement: The Company manages apartment rooms which are furnished with furniture and home appliances across the country. The tenants can therefore immediately move in only with their personal belongings. In the event of a major disaster, the Company will provide its managed apartments to help Obayashi and its employees to set up their foundation for living so that they can focus on restoration and reconstruction works quickly and smoothly.

Date of Conclusion: April 1, 2023.
