LHC Group, Inc. is a health care provider specializing in the post-acute continuum of care. The Company operates through five segments: Home Health Services, Hospice Services, Home and Community-Based Services, Facility-Based Services and Healthcare Innovations (HCI). The Home Health Service segment offers a range of services, including wound care and dressing changes, pain management, pharmaceutical administration, skilled observation and assessment and patient education. The Hospice segment offers a range of services, including pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, inpatient and respite care, homemaker services, and counseling. The Home and Community-Based Services segment, services are performed by skilled nursing and paraprofessional personnel, and include assistance with activities of daily living to the elderly, chronically ill, and disabled patients.
