BERLIN/FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - The collective bargaining dispute for around 25,000 private aviation security staff has finally been settled. The committees of both the employers and the unions involved have accepted the arbitration recommendation presented on Monday by former Bremen State Councillor for Finance Hans-Henning Lühr (SPD), as they reported on Tuesday.

The approval was expected as the recommendation had been made unanimously. The arbitrator's decision provides for salary increases for employees in three stages of between 13.1 and 15.1 percent over a period of 15 months. The particularly contentious issue of overtime was excluded and will not be addressed again until the end of the year./ceb/DP/nas
