<_a103a_updated style="display: none"> { 12/8/2023 2:33:30 PM }PJSC LUKOIL signed the Oil & Gas Decarbonization Charter at the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) in the UAE. 50 oil and gas companies from all around the world representing over 40 percent of global oil production have supported the initiative, including ADNOC, Equinor, Petrobras, Saudi Aramco, SOCAR, BP, ENI, Shell, TotalEnergies and others.
The signatories have committed to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by or before 2050, achieve near-zero methane emissions on upstream operations and zero routine flaring by 2030.
Participation in such major industry-wide sustainable development projects is in line with LUKOIL's strategic goals as a socially and environmentally responsible business.
