Dec 6 (Reuters) - British landscaping and roofing products supplier Marshalls appointed Matthew Pullen as CEO-designate on Wednesday to succeed Martyn Coffey, who will step down after nearly 10 years in the role.

Pullen was most recently chief operating officer of Genuit Group, the UK's largest provider of sustainable water, climate, and ventilation products. He will take over as CEO from March.

Pullen is tasked with leading the London-listed company at a time when the UK housing sector is facing challenging market conditions, which are expected to spill over into 2024.

"During Martyn's tenure, Marshalls has grown organically and through acquisitions, achieving its key strategic ambitions," said Chair Vanda Murray.

"The Group is well-positioned for when the markets recover."
