Minupar Participacoes SA, formerly Minuano - Exportacao Participacao e Administracao Ltda, is a Brazil-based holding company primarily engaged in the food processing. The Company divides its business into three main segments: Processing Services; Sausages and Processed, and Refrigerated. In the Processing Services segment, the Company is involved in the provision of food processing services to third parties, including poultry slaughter and deboning; production of animal feed, and hatching eggs, among others. In the Sausages and Processed, it is engaged in the processing and sale of sausages and eggs. In the Refrigerated segment, it is involved in the slaughter of its own poultry. The Company’s products are distributed in Brazil and exported to the Middle East, Europe, Asia, Africa, Central and South America. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated six plants located in Brazilian states of Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina.
