Mitsui Sugar Co., Ltd. reported earnings results for the third quarter ended December 2019. For the quarter, the company reported net sales of JPY 86,961 million against JPY 78,550 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 4,966 million against JPY 3,030 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent was JPY 2,759 million against JPY 5,031 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was JPY 105.86 against JPY 188.44 a year ago.
For the fiscal year ending March 2020, the company expects net sales of JPY 113,000 million, operating profit of JPY 5,100 million and profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 2,600 million or basic EPS of JPY 99.76.
The company expects to pay year-end dividend of JPY 25.00 per share against JPY 55.00 per share paid a year ago.
