America Movil Deploys Instant Communications Service

Mobile Tornado Group Plc (AIM: MBT), the leading provider of instant communication solutions to workforce management and its Mexican partner, Atencion en Comunicaciones, have announced a partnership agreement with America Movil.

America Movil have adopted Mobile Tornado's IPRS™ (Internet Protocol Radio Service) platform and will launch the service initially across the Telcel™ network in Mexico and the Claro™ network in Brazil. Based on Push To Talk technology, IPRS enables enhanced IP-based instant communication services.

Push to Talk uses the power of next generation networks and handsets to provide a new user interface that bypasses traditional half-duplex voice prompts and simplifies registry to the service, message access and management. It also increases the appeal and functionality of immediate communications.

With IPRS, subscribers can see their contacts' presence status and location. They can also generate immediate one-to-one or one-to-many voice sessions and can send and receive instant messages. In addition, mirroring the way SMS text messaging works, IPRS enables users to record voice messages on their handsets and send them directly to individuals or groups in the network without making the phone ring or interrupting recipient. The simple, intuitive user navigation is designed to meet today's demand for "always-on" communication.

Carlos Romano, CEO of Atencion en Comunicaciones stated: "We are excited about this new enterprise. With a relationship of over 20 years with America Movil, we know of their high levels of expectancy in terms of product quality and customers' satisfaction. Working with Mobile Tornado we are delivering our client the best PTT product in the market. They've been quick to recognize the added value and increased personal efficiency that results from faster voice and message access, simplified message handling, and new voice messaging capabilities."

"We are proud to work with America Movil, a trailblazer in the mobile industry, to usher in the era of next generation instant communications services across South America," said Jeremy Fenn, Chief Executive Officer at Mobile Tornado. ''IPRS will enable America Movil to generate greater revenues through increased data traffic and the addition of new subscribers."
