Charlie Smith and Sergio Magana bring decades of industry operational and leadership experience.

ROCHESTER, NY (November 7, 2023) - Monro, Inc., one of the largest independent auto service and tire dealers in the United States, announces that Sergio Magana and Charlie Smith have been hired as regional vice presidents.

SERGIO MAGANA will be responsible for managing 73 stores and their regional district managers in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. He will execute the company's retail operations strategy to drive sales and profits, recruit and retain teammates, and manage inventory.

Magana will report to Brian O'Donnell, senior vice president of retail operations, south division.

Magana has 18 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket. He recently held a role as a regional sales manager with Advance Auto Parts. Prior to that, he held management positions at O'Reilly Auto Parts and Jiffy Lube. He attained a Master's in Business Administration from Aurora University in Aurora, Illinois, the school where he had previously received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He currently resides in Spring Grove, Illinois.

CHARLIESMITH will oversee 119 stores and their regional district managers in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia. He will report to Russ Welsh, senior vice president of retail operations, north division. Smith's focus will be to implement short- and long-term sales strategies in his region, recruit and retain teammates, and enhance the company's financial vision.

Smith joins Monro from his role as divisional vice president at Pep Boys where he managed more than 250 retail locations and 2,500 store employees. Previously, he held leadership roles at STS Tire, Tire Kingdom, and Firestone Tire and Rubber Company.

Smith earned his electronics degree from the Central Westmoreland Career & Technology Center in New Stanton, Pennsylvania. He currently resides in Jeannette, Pennsylvania.
