NanoTech Entertainment reported that it signed a licensing agreement with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The company announced with the agreement NanoTech's 4K Ultra HD network UltraFlix has been granted the distribution rights to five MGM films. UltraFlix subscribers are now able to enjoy the films in 4K Ultra HD from the comfort of their homes on a variety of 4K Ultra HD platforms and TVs. NanoTech said fully restored and remastered at 4K resolution, the MGM signature films licensed to UltraFlix include: Rocky, Rain Man, Fargo, RoboCop, and The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.

To enhance the viewing experience, UltraFlix uses video compression, adaptive streaming and intelligent bandwidth management technologies. These technologies enable UltraFlix to stream visually lossless 4K video with uninterrupted viewing at under 10 Mbps, making it available to over 90% of the TV subscribers. UltraFlix will enable subscribers to choose from nearly 500 hours of 4K Ultra HD content in a broad range of venues plus 100 hours of free content.
