NAVER Pay is significantly expanding its overseas payment locations, encompassing regions in Asia, Europe, the United States, and Australia.

On November 15, NAVER Pay (CEO Park Sang-jin) announced that its QR on-site payment services have been extended to Alipay+ merchants across 42 countries and regions, spanning Asia, Europe, the United States, and Australia.

Starting with its initial collaboration with Alipay in China last September, NAVER Pay's extension through Alipay's international payment platform, Alipay+, saw the addition of 41 locations: 6 countries in Asia, including Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines, 33 in Europe including Germany, the UK, France, Spain, and Italy, and the United States and Australia. NAVER Pay users can now make payments with NAVER Pay money and points at Alipay+ merchants across 42 countries and regions globally, eliminating the need for currency exchange.

The point draws for on-site payments are also extended to include Alipay+ merchants in 42 countries and regions worldwide. This includes additional opportunities to earn points when using the NAVER Pay app, coupled with the advantage of doubling or quadrupling point accumulation for those utilizing NAVER Plus Membership or the NAVER Pay money Hana Bank Passbook.

To make a payment, tap on "Korea▼" to switch the setting to "Alipay+ Overseas" at the top of the QR payment area, and present the QR barcode to the merchant for a scan. Alternatively, you can scan the Alipay+ QR code for payment by using the QR scanning functions of the NAVER Pay or NAVER app at the payment site. The payment is completed using your NAVER Pay money or points, eliminating the need for currency exchange; if the available balance is less than the payment amount, the balance will automatically be topped up from the linked account in KRW 10,000 increments, ensuring the transaction is successfully completed.

Since September, NAVER Pay has been rapidly expanding its overseas payment services. Currently, on-site payments with NAVER Pay are available in a total of 47 countries and regions, facilitated through partnerships with Alipay+ and UnionPay.

A NAVER Pay representative commented, "Users can conveniently use NAVER Pay to make payments outside Korea and enjoy accompanying points benefits. We will continue expanding the coverage of our payment services, aiming to become the most used simple payment service by Korean users overseas."
