Nexans announced today that it has signed a major agreement for the acquisition of La Triveneta Cavi, an Italian company producing mainly low-voltage cables for the building, infrastructure, flame-retardant cable systems and renewable energies sectors.

The company employs around 700 people, with current annual sales of more than 800 million euros over the last twelve months.

La Triveneta Cavi operates a first-class integrated industrial footprint in Italy, comprising three production sites in Brendola and Tolentino, with efficient logistics platforms, as well as an in-house copper wire drawing plant in Montecchio Maggiore.

' The acquisition of La Triveneta Cavi marks an important milestone in our transformation into a pure player in electrification' commented Christopher Guérin, CEO of Nexans.

In his opinion, the combination of Nexans and La Triveneta Cavi will be a real catalyst for 'Made in Italy' cable production in the Veneto region, and will generate significant investment and employment at La Triveneta Cavi.'
