Norske Skogindustrier ASA reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended Sep. 30, 2017. For the quarter, operating revenue was NOK 2,911 million against NOK 2,918 million a year ago. Operating earnings were NOK 73 million against NOK 114 million a year ago. Loss before income taxes was NOK 1 million against profit of NOK 195 million a year ago. Loss for the period was NOK 9 million against profit of NOK 190 million a year ago. Basic and diluted loss per share were NOK 0.05 against earnings of NOK 0.69 a year ago. Net cash out flow from operating activities was NOK 162 million against net cash inflow from operating activities of NOK 19 million a year ago. Purchases of property, plant and equipment and intangible assets were NOK 71 million against NOK 65 million a year ago. For the nine months, operating revenue was NOK 8,452 million against NOK 8,789 million a year ago. Operating profit was NOK 23 million against loss of NOK 992 million a year ago. Loss before income taxes was NOK 808 million against profit of NOK 211 million a year ago. Loss for the period was NOK 830 million against profit of NOK 430 million a year ago. Basic and diluted loss per share were NOK 3.01 against earnings of NOK 1.75 a year ago. Net cash outflow from operating activities was NOK 114 million against NOK 867 million a year ago. Purchases of property, plant and equipment and intangible assets were NOK 207 million against NOK 187 million a year ago. Net interest-bearing debt as at Sep. 30, 2017 was NOK 6,302 million against NOK 6,172 million as at Sep. 30, 2016.
