On 12 March 2024, NOW Corporation and UltraPass Identity Asia Inc. have teamed up and executed a Memorandum of Understanding to offer decentralized identity solutions, aimed to safeguard critical infrastructure and enhance access to ICT systems and projects in the Philippines and the IndoPacific region. This partnership, bolstered by the NOW Group's recent grant from USTDA for deployment of a trusted 5G network and nationwide broadband network, seeks to accelerate the adoption of biometric authentication and privacy-preserving data sharing, fostering social and economic growth while ensuring secure connectivity in the Philippines. The MOU was signed during the US-PH Trade Mission led by U.S. Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo.

Both NOW and UltraPass ID are poised to accelerate the adoption of Biometric, reusable identity, and privacy-preserving data share to enhance security, access, and user experience. The US-PH Trade Mission is the largest to-date with investments from the US of USD 1.0 billion. The partnership between NOW Corporation and UltraPass ID will help achieve social and financial mobility, reduce inequality, improve health and education, spur economic growth for the Filipino people and provide trust and confidence to US companies to increase investment in the Philippines.
