Parmalat S.p.A. announced consolidated and parent company earnings results for the year ended December 31, 2017. For the year, on consolidated basis, net revenue was EUR 6,695.5 million compared to EUR 6,489.4 million a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 453.6 million compared to EUR 458.5 million a year ago. Profit for the year was EUR 103.6 million compared to EUR 79.4 million a year ago. EBIT was EUR 226.3 million compared to EUR 205.2 million a year ago. Profit before taxes was EUR 229.7 million compared to EUR 195.1 million a year ago. Basic and diluted earnings per share were EUR 0.0557 compared to EUR 0.0423 a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities for the year was EUR 328.3 million compared to EUR 360.3 million a year ago.

For the year, on company basis, reported profit of EUR 27.0 million compared to EUR 56.9 million a year ago. Revenue was EUR 927.9 million compared to EUR 883.7 million a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 68.0 million compared to EUR 71.0 million a year ago. Profit for the year was EUR 27.0 million compared to EUR 56.9 million a year ago. EBIT was EUR 18.8 million compared to EUR 54.7 million a year ago. Profit before taxes was EUR 36.3 million compared to EUR 72.6 million a year ago. Cash flow from operating activities for the year was EUR 65.2 million compared to EUR 40.3 million a year ago.

The company is confident it will have a better performance in this financial year at constant exchange rate without including associate in Venezuela. Parmalat [ reckons ] with growth of last year of net sales by 1.5% and gross operating within a range of growth between 3% and 5% approximately for 2018. So the company is quite positive when looking at 2018.
