Partner Tech USA Inc., a provider of POS and self-service solutions, has introduced ACE2, a self-checkout solution that delivers higher throughput and frictionless shopping for retailers, according to a press release.

The ACE2 features AI-based computer vision to enable automatic produce recognition, which results in fewer interventions and faster throughput and helps identify suspicious transactions.

To reduce shrink, ACE2 uses an adaptive security scale to verify the weight of each scanned item. In partnership with Checkpoint Systems, ACE2 also supports EAS tags and RFID tags.

Other features include:

  • The unit accepts credit and debit cards, contactless and mobile through the retailer's existing POS system. Brackets are available for payment terminals and additional terminals can be added on demand. An optional cash module offers coin and paper bill recycling.
  • The touchscreen computer is available with several processor options and a 21.5-inch display.
  • The integrated bioptic scanner with a produce scale delivers multidirectional scanning that captures the weight.
  • A tri-light LED signals when a customer needs assistance and can be configured with a camera for produce recognition and fraud prevention as well as a camera for ID verification.
  • The unit is available in several different colors and configurations to match the store's branding and special needs.
  • The self-checkout software is POS agnostic and can integrate with the store's current POS software by using Partner Tech's API tool kit.

Partner Tech offers a remote monitoring software, SeeYourSCO, which allows retailers to track the performance of all the SCO stations in real-time.
