A strategic cooperation to develop B2B, data center, and cloud services, as well as to accelerate the development of TelkomGroup's expertise.

Jakarta, December 19, 2023 -PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) and Huawei Indonesia end 2023 by forging mutually strategic cooperation to develop business-to-business or B2B services and solutions. The agreement was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by Telkom Strategic Portfolio Director Budi Setyawan Wijaya and CEO of Carrier Network Business Group Huawei Indonesia Steven Wang at Telkom Landmark Tower, Jakarta, Thursday (14/12). Also present were Telkom Digital Business Director Muhamad Fajrin Rasyid, Huawei Indonesia CEO, Long, Huawei XToB Business CTO Jennifer Zhang, Huawei Cloud APAC Director Benson Qin, and Huawei Cloud Indonesia CEO, James Zhang.

"Telkom and Huawei hope to collaborate in providing digital cloud services for small, and medium enterprises, e-enterprises, and governments, by signing this strategic memorandum of understanding. This is in line with the company's initiative to continue to lead the business-to-business IT market segment in Indonesia through itsFive Bold Moves strategy. We also hope that this collaboration can accelerate the development of Indonesia's digital talents to strengthen local businesses and communities," Telkom Strategic Portfolio Director, Budi Setyawan Wijaya in his speech.

Telkom and Huawei Indonesia's cooperation will cover two strategic pillars, namely business-to-business strategic cooperation, in which Telkom and Huawei Indonesia work together to explore and apply the latest technology in digital, cloud, and data center services to build and strengthen the skills and capabilities required to carry out business-to-business collaboration and increase revenue and profitability. This effort is expected to create opportunities to grow new revenue streams for Telkom's business-to-business segments, namely conglomerates, government, and small-medium enterprises (SMEs). Meanwhile, the second pillar is accelerating the development of TelkomGroup's expertise through cooperation through training and certification programs that focus on developing digital skills and innovation.

In line with this, the CEO of Huawei Indonesia, Long, expressed his appreciation to Telkom for its broad and in-depth collaboration with Huawei to connect those who have not been connected and contribute to Indonesia's digital transformation. "We will continue to improve digital infrastructure development to build a world-leading, future-oriented intelligent cloud network that will support the implementation of Indonesia's digital strategy. We are confident that together we will achieve another important milestone in the strategic cooperation between Telkom and Huawei," Long said.

This collaboration is also part of Telkom's transformation steps through its Five Bold Moves strategy to build the company's competitive advantages and leadership in the industry, especially through business-to-business digital IT services. This agreement is expected to support Telkom in strengthening capabilities in the business-to-business segment, including cloud, data center, and digital services through strategic collaboration with global technology players, while continuing to improve its quality in providing the best digital solutions for customers.
