Prima AFP S.A. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2012. For the quarter, the company's net income was $9.5 million compared with $7.6 million a year ago. The drop in net income this quarter is attributable the decision to set aside provisions for operating support and charges stemming from Private Pension System reform. Income from commissions was $32.1 million compared with $26.5 million a year ago. Operating income was $16.9 million compared with $12.6 million a year ago. ROAE was 25.9% compared with 20.4% a year ago.

For the nine months, the company's net income was $30.1 million compared with $23.5 million a year ago. This was attributable to growth in its client base; dynamism in the local economy; and strict spending control. Income from commissions was $92.5 million compared with $76.6 million a year ago. Operating income was $48.8 million compared with $36.4 million a year ago. ROAE was 28.0% compared with 21.4% a year ago.
