The Los Angeles-based company said it had net income of 26 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense, were 31 cents per share.

The biopharmaceutical company posted revenue of $72.2 million in the period, falling short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $73.2 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $21.6 million, or 45 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $235.6 million.
