PV Crystalox Solar plc announced consolidated earnings results for the year ended 31 December 2016. For the year, group revenue decreased by 12.0% to €56.7 million from €64.5 million a year ago. This was mainly due to a decline in wafer shipments which was partially offset by an increase in sales of excess polysilicon feedstock when compared to 2015. Overall the group generated a profit before taxes of €1.7 million against loss before taxes of €13.7 million a year ago. Profit for the year attributable to owners of the parent was €1,744,000 against loss for the year attributable to owners of the parent of €13,757,000 a year ago. Basic and diluted profit per share was 1.1 cents against loss per share of 8.8 cents a year ago. EBIT was €1.639 million compared to LBIT of €13.020 million for the same period a year ago. EBT was €1.700 million compared to LBT of €13.663 million for the same period a year ago. Net cash generated from operating activities was €17,970,000 against net cash used in operating activities of €12,927,000 a year ago. Payments to acquire property, plant and equipment and intangibles were €131,000 against €20,000 a year ago. Net cash inflows from operating activities were partially offset by negative foreign exchange rate changes on cash of €1.7 million.
