A culinary-focused channel from video commerce leader Qurate Retail Group is the latest new offering on FreeCast's service.
FreeCast is announcing a collaboration with Qurate Retail Group, a world leader in video commerce ("vCommerce"), to bring The Big Dish Channel to the FreeCast service. The Big Dish Channel is the newest channel to join the service, which continues to expand rapidly even after going free-to-access earlier this year, dropping its subscription paywall.
The Big Dish Channel features a fun mix of pre-recorded culinary programming from QVC, HSN and the QVC+ and HSN+ streaming app. Viewers can access the scoop on their favorite flavors and hottest recipes, while catching up on the latest trends. The Big Dish is a place to connect people who love to eat with what they're craving, the skills they need to eat well and the personalities they need to enjoy every second of it.
Tracy West, Executive Vice President of Digital Content and Channel Distribution for FreeCast, discussed the company's long relationship with QVC and the addition of The Big Dish: "Qurate Retail Group is a great partner for us, because they understand the potential of online distribution and targeted advertising. Being able to distribute a channel at low-cost and monetize it effectively really changes the economics of streaming TV. Specialty networks like The Big Dish are well poised to take full advantage of that."
