Raia Drogasil S.A. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 7,489.87 million compared to BRL 6,164.86 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 215.41 million compared to BRL 154.53 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.1257 compared to BRL 0.0901 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.1252 compared to BRL 0.0898 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was BRL 21,231.13 million compared to BRL 17,653.18 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 710.88 million compared to BRL 581.58 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.4149 compared to BRL 0.3391 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.413 compared to BRL 0.3382 a year ago.
Raia Drogasil S.A. specializes in the distribution of medicines, cosmetics and dermocosmetics, perfumery, personal care and beauty products. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- branded pharmaceuticals (42%);
- pharmaceutical additives (25.1%) ;
- OTC products (21.3%);
- generic pharmaceutical products (11.4%).
At the end of 2020, its products were marketed through a network of 2,299 pharmacies under the Drogasil (1,304) and Raia (995) brands in Brazil.
