LONDON (Reuters) - Shares in London-listed waste management firm Renewi dropped 22% on Thursday, after asset manager Macquarie said it does not feel it is in an informed position to make an offer for the company.
At 1244 GMT, Renewi shares were down 22.6% and on track for their largest ever daily drop.
Renewi was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Reuters.
Macquarie said on Sept. 28 it was considering a possible cash offer for Renewi that would value the company at around $775 million. Renewi rejected the offer the same day.
