Rock Energy Resources, Inc. provided an update on its current core drilling program at its Red Arrow Mine properties near Mancos Colorado. Over the past several weeks, and as previously announced, the Company has been undertaking a 5 - 6 hole core drilling program on its existing properties in the immediate vicinity of its Red Arrow Mine in Southwestern Colorado. The program has utilized data from its previously completed and interpreted Aerial Magnetometer Survey conducted in the area over three months ago. The current drill program has focused on an area near one of its existing portals that contain occurrences of high grade gold with a view to locate the source of such mineralization at depth. The company has evidence that a large intrusive sulphide deposit exists below its present location that may reach depths well over 5,000 feet. The drilling program will focus on establishing reserves and resources accessible through existing portals while planning for future expansion. To date, five holes have been completed at depths ranging from 415 - 485 feet. The sixth hole has been drilled to a depth of over 1,000 ft. with plans to continue to 3,500 ft. or more. Cores are now being digitally photographed, halved for analysis, logged, and will then be sent to a certified lab for assays. Shrink stoping in the Gold Run Level of the mine is progressing as planned. A new area for stope development has recently been discovered to the east of the current stope workings. Historical maps indicated one section of the mine had been mined out but with recent development work, an area containing as much as 1,000 tons of additional high grade ore has been located. Sampling is underway to focus production efforts on areas with the concentrations of gold and other precious metals. Visual inspection and testing of the ore occurs daily. Along with ore production from stoping (mining upward along the vein), development work is underway to begin drifting (horizontal tunneling) to the west. Ore will then be produced from two different areas in the Gold Run Level. Once the drift is driven over 100 ft. to the west, an additional stope will begin.
