BRUSSELS (Reuters) - The European Union's General Court on Wednesday cancelled an earlier decision made by the European Commission to have approved restructuring aid for German charter airline Condor.

Irish airline Ryanair challenged the 2019 government bailout of Condor.

"The General Court of the European Union annuls the decision of the Commission to approve restructuring aid for charter airline Condor," the court said.

"Having regard to the doubts that the Commission should have had as regards the compatibility of that aid with EU law, it should have initiated a formal investigation procedure," it added.
