Sýn hf. completed the acquisition of Bland from Heimkaup.

Syn hf, formerly Fjarskipti hf (Vodafone Iceland), is an Iceland-based company, which is active within the telecommunications sector. It offers a range of telecommunication services to individuals, corporations, institutions and government agencies. The Company's product portfolio comprises prepaid phone cards, mobile Internet options for wireless data transfer, fixed telephony services, television and roaming, as well as BlackBerry mobiles, software and communication services. Its prepaid cards are available in Reykjavik, Kopavogur and Akureyri.
