S&P Global has named Christopher Craig interim chief financial officer, as the ratings agency and data provider continues its search for a new finance chief.

S&P Global on Friday said Craig, who currently serves as senior vice president, controller and chief accounting officer, will assume the interim post on Feb. 12.

Ewout Steenbergen, who has been chief financial officer of S&P Global since 2016, in December said he is leaving the New York company to become finance chief of travel-booking conglomerate Booking Holdings in March.

S&P Global said it continues to evaluate internal and external candidates for a successor to Steenbergen.

The company said Craig, 50 years old, will receive a restricted stock award valued at $1 million in connection with his appointment as interim finance chief.
