SAP announced on Friday that Japanese IT group NEC has chosen its Rise solution for its transition to a cloud-based ERP system.

In a press release, the German enterprise software group states that NEC intends to use the SAP S/4Hana Cloud suite to automate its business processes such as finance and accounting or inventory management.

Given that NEC currently operates some 1,200 independent functionalities and over 200 external interfaces, SAP plans to use its Joule generative AI assistant to facilitate its customer's migration process.
