PARIS, Dec 11 (Reuters) - French reinsurer Scor said on Monday that it had been informed of fraudulent practices by individuals impersonating the company, by using its logo and the identity of staff, to extort money.

Scor said fraudsters were using fake website addresses pretending to be from the actual company.

"Scor urges you to be extremely vigilant and not to respond without prior verification to any payment request made by e-mail, telephone or social networks. The aim of these fraudsters is to improperly collect personal data, or to solicit a bank transfer or electronic payment," Scor said in a statement.
